Towels
A towel is a bath or kitchen textile woven with loops (pile) on its surface to absorb water, in cotton or a blend. In terry weaving the ground yarn carries the cloth and the pile yarn forms the loops; loop height, yarn twist and weave density determine absorbency and hand. Cotton, bamboo and modal are the most common fibres; bathrobes, beach towels, hand and face towels, bath towels and bath mats belong to the same weaving family. In hotel and healthcare projects towels are selected for repeated industrial washing, drying and chlorine resistance; border, hem and logo embroidery are separate quotation items. In the home market softness, colour and pattern lead.
