Bed Linen
Bed linen is the bedding set made of the closed cover that holds the duvet together with the matching sheet and pillowcases. The fabric is either cotton (ranforce, sateen, percale, poplin) or a cotton-polyester blend; yarn count and threads per centimetre define the hand, weight defines durability. In hotel and healthcare projects bed linen must withstand washing at 60 degrees and above, industrial drying and ironing, so contract-grade percale or sateen with reinforced seams and sizes cut with shrinkage allowance is specified. The home market is led by pattern and hand, the project market by wash cycles and dimensional stability. In public and hotel procurement bed linen is announced under CPV 39512000 (bed linen) and is usually requested in the same tender as towels.
