Heimtextil 2027 opens 12–15 January with the 'Home-Maxxing' theme; 3 sculptures in the Trend Space
Messe Frankfurt has announced 'Home-Maxxing – The Performance of Everyday Living' as the trend theme of Heimtextil 2027. Three sculptures with a metallised surface made from Sicilian orange by-products will be shown in the Trend Space.

According to Messe Frankfurt's press release of 30 September, Heimtextil 2027 will take place in Frankfurt am Main on 12–15 January 2027. The trend theme is 'Home-Maxxing – The Performance of Everyday Living', curated by the design platform Alcova.
The designer who has worked with the fair for three years is expanding the Trend Space installation shown in 2025 and 2026: two new pieces join the 'Bambi' figure from the previous edition, so the space will feature three hybrid sculptures.
The sculptures use a material called Ohoskin. According to the release, this metallised surface is made from by-products of Sicilian oranges. The release highlights the contrast between its industrial look and natural origin; according to the designer, the pieces trace a journey from digital imagery to physical presence and open a new chapter in material experimentation.
Heimtextil is the international home textiles fair where producers of curtains, upholstery fabrics, bed linen, towels and contract textiles show new collections at the start of the season. The trend theme summarises the season's direction in colour, material and use for visitors.
