Why January Is Not Too Early, But Right on Time for This Industry

Heimtextil's placement in early January is no coincidence: this is where the annual collection calendar opens. The color, texture, and material directions for the upcoming season are established during these four days; on the contract side, hospitality and commercial project procurement teams finalize their annual supply agreements here. In short, beyond being a premier showcase, the fair is where the season's pricing and trend benchmarks are established.

Remaining Window for Preparation

Today is August 23, 2026. Roughly four and a half months remain until the trade fair. Booth applications, preparation of sample cards, updating compliance certifications, and — especially for manufacturers targeting the European contract market — renewal of flame-retardant test certificates must all fit into this window. Documentation and certification typically represent the most time-consuming phase.

Domestic Calendar: HOMETEX Took Place in May This Year

Its domestic counterpart, HOMETEX, held its 2026 edition on May 19–22, 2026 at the Istanbul Expo Center across 11 halls, organized by KFA Fuarcılık. The exhibition covered sheers, curtains, upholstery fabrics, towels, carpets, bed and bath textiles, wall coverings, decorative accessories, and motorized shading systems.
