ICFE (International Carpet and Flooring Expo), the international carpet and flooring fair in Istanbul, opens its doors on 6–9 January 2027 at the Istanbul Expo Center (IFM) in Yeşilköy. The fair is organised by Tüyap in cooperation with the Istanbul Carpet Exporters' Association (İHİB) and the Southeast Anatolia Carpet Exporters' Association (GAHİB). According to the official website, this will be the fourth edition; in its first years the fair was called CFE (Carpet & Flooring Expo).

The same period in the TRTex fair calendar

The TRTex fair calendar lists 21 fairs in January 2027 whose dates are verified on their official websites; 8 of them open between 6 and 16 January. Events a carpet and flooring buyer can follow in the same period:

• DOMOTEX asia/CHINAFLOOR, Bangkok: 11–13 November 2026 · the Asian carpet and flooring market.
• Heimtextil, Frankfurt: 12–15 January 2027 · home and contract textiles.
• Atlanta Market, USA: 12–17 January 2027 · including rugs and bed textiles.
• IIFF Istanbul Furniture Fair: 19–23 January 2027 · furniture and upholstery fabrics.
• DOMOTEX, Hanover: According to its official website, the next edition is on 17–20 January 2028.

Why it matters

ICFE closes on 9 January and Heimtextil opens in Frankfurt on 12 January: a carpet and home textile buyer travelling from Europe, the Gulf or the Americas can see both fairs on one trip. The next DOMOTEX in Hanover is in 2028, so in the TRTex calendar ICFE is the only international carpet and flooring fair in Europe in January 2027. Two Turkish carpet exporters' associations co-organise it: İHİB in Istanbul and GAHİB, which represents the production region centred on Gaziantep. For buyers this means comparing Turkish manufacturers, from hand-made to machine-made carpets, in one place.
