What are the labelling rules for textile products?
Labelling and legislation
Short answer
Textile products must be labelled or marked to indicate their fibre composition whenever they are made available on the market. The label must be durable, easily legible, visible and accessible and securely attached. In the EU, the label is in the official language of the Member State where the product is made available to the consumer, unless that state provides otherwise; in Türkiye, labelling is also done in Turkish and the manufacturer must ensure that the information is correct.
