Venetian Blinds

A venetian blind is a mechanical blind in which horizontal slats are linked by cord or tape ladders; tilting the slats regulates the light and the whole blind can be raised. Slats may be aluminium, wood, bamboo or PVC; aluminium slats are more common in offices and public buildings, wooden slats in residential and hotel projects. Slat width sets the look and the height of the stack when raised: wide slats give fewer crossing lines, narrow slats stay in scale on narrow windows. Control may be by cord, chain, wand or motor; a blind fitted between the panes of a double-glazed unit is a separate product. Mounting is to the ceiling or wall, with one blind per window. In public procurement venetian blinds are announced under CPV 39515430 (venetian blinds); Turkish notices may use the literal dictionary name of the code rather than the trade name, so both names should be searched.
