Motorised Curtains

A motorised curtain is the general name for a system in which a curtain or a mechanical blind is opened and closed by an electric motor. A motorised track is used for drapes and sheers, a tubular motor for roller and zebra blinds, and a tilt-and-lift motor for venetian blinds. Motors run on mains voltage or a rechargeable battery; control is by remote, wall switch, smart-home system or phone app. The motor is chosen according to curtain weight and track length; for multi-panel and long tracks the quotation states motor torque and track load capacity. In hotels, meeting rooms, hospitals and high, hard-to-reach windows the motorised system replaces manual operation; in energy-management scenarios it works with sun and time sensors. During installation the power line, motor position and track mounting line are planned before the curtain is measured. In public procurement motorised curtains are usually announced within the curtain heading CPV 39515000, together with electrical and automation items.
